Juicy, fragrant, herbal and a little bit peppery. So much going on here and so tasty! A delightful combination of intense fruity aromas and floral notes. On the palate it is light and fresh with a good acidity!
A natural young wine whose grapes come from the “Bassotets” vineyard, made up of clay and calcareous soil and located at an altitude of 450 meters above the sea level. The wine is organically farmed using biodynamic principles. Hand harvested and fermented in stainless steel vats using natural yeasts. No sulphur is added, and the wines are bottled without fining or filtration.
Joan Ramon Escoda and Carmen Sanahuja work ten hectares of land in the iconic Conca de Barbera region of Spain, employing a polyculture of olives, almonds, vegetables, and livestock alongside their 4.5 hectares of vines. They're people who have a long history of great farming, organic since the start (in 1997) and using biodynamic methods since 2003. In 2007 they made the move to zero-sulfur winemaking and haven't looked back since.
